Max Read has been a professional sound engineer since 1992. In 1999, Max rebuilt the Lodge Recording Studios from scratch in a new location and has since diversified into venue acoustic treatment. As well as touring the UK and Europe as a live sound engineer, Max has also performed on stage and toured all over the world with cult band The Enid.
Max says: "DeadSounds came into existence after the managers of some long-established local venues contacted me. They'd had some astronomical quotes for improving the sound during live acts, but wanted a second opinion. My brief was to fix the problem as simply, cheaply and discreetly as possible. The results were great and I enjoyed the work, so I set up DeadSounds."
